A bunch of protesters out in West Seattle took over a nearby Target, equipped with a band and choreographed dance routines, to bring attention to the controversy surrounding Target’s $150,000 donation to an anti-gay, anti-worker gubernatorial candidate in Minnesota.
In January 2010, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled corporations could spend unlimited money in our elections. In July, Target made the controversial donation. As recently a last week, a quarter million people pledged to boycott Target.
Check out video below...
The protesters are part of the Backbone Campaign, a grassroots effort to encourage citizens and elected officials to stand up for progressive values, and its Localize this! .... I think more protests should be like this. I know them workers in target came the fuck together...LMAO!!
